
Manovikas College of Special Education, Ujjain organized an awareness programme of plantation of Saplings under the “Ankur Abhiyan” scheme running by M.P.Government under which citizens will be awarded for planting trees during monsoon, an official said. The goal of this Government Scheme is to increase green spaces in the state and present imbalances in nature.
The awareness program was held on 9th Feb 2022 at Sant Kabir Das Garden near Manovikas. The students and the faculty members reported the plantation site on the given time in the rally form and spread awarness for planting trees. The program started at 10.00 AM. The Chief Guest of the programme was Mr. Beenu Kushwaha, Councillor of Ward No. 51. We had planted various types of plants there and registered all in “Vayudut App”. Our staff members and B.Ed., D.Ed. trainees helped all the colony members in planting and registering in “Ankur Abhiyan”. One by one student and nearby colony members started planting saplings. The aim of the program is to plant more and more saplings and we had planted around 30 Saplings of the trees which were provided by Manovikas College of Special Education. We as college Members pledged to plant as many trees as possible near our areas so as to create a very healthy environment and contribute in minimizing the climatic changes. At the end of the program some dignitaries of Sant Kabir Nagar shared their views and also take pledge to maintain the garden. It was a successful awareness program done under the guidance and support of the Director Fr.Tom George and Academic Director Dr. Prem Chhabra, of Manovikas College of Special Education.
